.) Sarah Palin's newness will wear off, her cloud of various ethical scandals and outright lies will come back to bite her, and two months from now she will be seen properly for what she is--Dick Cheney in a skirt, a long-shot gamble to rally the rapidly shrinking Republican base.  She will not survive a debate with Joe Biden without America learning that she is a staunch creationist, opposes stem-cell research, and is opposed to choice even in cases of rape and incest.  Once the initial sheen wears off, all of these things, and her basic capability to serve as President of the United States, will begin to sink in.  Post-election, it will be determined that she cost John McCain more votes than she gained for him.

More across the jump...

.) John McCain has to stand on the same stage on debate Barack Obama not once, but three times.  His convention speech was a flop, he still has no idea about the economy, health care, and any other number of issues that the American people do care deeply about.  John McCain cannot stand on the same stage as Barack Obama three times and have debates about actual policy without losing a lot of ground.

.) The GOP base is suddenly fired up?  Good for them.  They have two months to catch up to the on-the-ground infrastructure the Obama campaign has been meticulously preparing for a year and a half.  Yeah, good luck with that, sad day for you.

.)WE ARE STILL WINNING, PEOPLE!
